Never Let a Pharmacist Plan a Game!

We were on a Winter Retreat Trip in Gatlinburg Tn. Everything was going great, youth were getting saved and it seemed like it was going to be the perfect trip. Until…

The last night of the trip we were in our worship room and one of my leaders (the pharmacist) asked if she could do a game with the group. I was excited about somebody wanting to actually do something so I agreed.

In this game, the kids had to race to a table and drink a cup that had some water and a peppermint in it. The game seems like fun as they were racing to see who could down all the delicious fluid down. On the way home the next morning, I discovered something strange! There were way too many people needing to stop and go to the bathroom. Come to find out, many had already gone in their pants, on the bus, because they could not control it! THE SMELL WAS AWFUL!

Needless to say, when parents found out about what happened, it all came down on me, of course. Our Pharmacist new what that drink would do and thought it would be funny. Talking about it now is pretty funny, but that “leader” had no idea what it was like to face the wrath of parents!

I might add, our guest speaker also played the game and to this day he believes that he got a stomach bug! Dare I spill the beans?
